BA flight makes two emergency landingsA British Airways flight had to make two emergency landings for the same fault, putting the lives of passengers at risk.

Passengers accused the airlines of putting their lives at risk by operating the craft with fault. The Boeing 747 flight from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to London in the UK, had to return to Riyadh due to problems with its wing flaps on Wednesday. The same fight took off on Thursday following repair work, but it had to turn back again due to the reoccurrence of the issue.

Passengers criticised the company for sending passengers at risk by putting them on the faulty aircraft after a day of repair work. Some of the passengers said that the landing was terrifying and paramedics were brought on board to treat the passengers.

The company has said in response that it will never operate a flight unless it is convinced that the aircraft is safe for operations. A BA spokesman said also said that a replacement aircraft has already taken the passengers to London safely. It said that crew members are serving customers and the company is also offering overnight hotel accommodation.

The company said in a statement, "Our customer service teams are contacting customers directly to offer compensation, expenses and complementary tickets as a gesture of goodwill. The safety of our customers and crew is always our first concern and due to a technical problem, the decision was taken to return the aircraft to Riyadh."
