Beijing, Aug. 9: Around 9.590 in China people die of cardiovascular disease each day, or one every 10 seconds, a report said Friday.
China has 290 millions of patients with cardiovascular disease, according to a report of the National Center for cardiovascular system of China.
In 2010, there were 230 million such patients, Xinhua reported.
The report said that the increase was attributed to poor eating habits, smoking, drinking alcohol and lack of exercise.
The cost of treating heart attacks, brain hemorrhage and stroke there is a annual increase of 25 percent since the year 2004, reaching 46 billion yuan (about 7.5 billion dollars) in the year 2011.
