Experts from the University of Sydney said, cheap devices, known as the heart monitor AliveCor for iPhone (MEMBER of IECG) is very efficient and accurate in patients with undiagnosed atrial fibrillation (AF).

This study was revealed Friday in Australia and New Zealand Cardiac Society Conference in Queensland, told Xinhua.

Friedman said people with atrial fibrillation face up to fivefold increased risk of stroke and tend to have more serious and life-threatening strokes.

He said that studies show that about 50000 Australians over 65 years have AF, but I do not know.
